TASSIMO is a one-cup on-demand beverage system that uses INTELLIBREW™ to make sure every cup is brewed using the right amount of water, temperature, and brew time.
TASSIMO creates an assortment of authentic coffeehouse-style beverages including coffee, tea, cappuccino, espresso, latte, hot chocolate, and more, all in the convenience of your home. Most beverages are ready in about a minute and the cappuccinos and lattes are made with real liquid milk creamer.
The TASSIMO Single Cup Brewing System works exclusively with TASSIMO T DISC pods.
The TASSIMO Disc pod (T DISC) was developed exclusively for use with TASSIMO brewers. Each T DISC contains an expertly measured portion of coffee, flavored chocolate syrup, tea, or liquid milk creamer. When the T DISC is inserted, the brewer uses INTELLIBREW™ to read the barcode printed on the label, which specifies beverage size, brewing time and optimal temperature required to prepare the beverage. All the brewing occurs inside the T DISC, ensuring perfect quality in every cup.

Designed and developed by Kraft Foods, the technology of the TASSIMO brewer uses shelf-stable, liquid milk creamer T DISCs for beverages such as cappuccinos and lattes. The milk product was perfected through the extensive dairy production capabilities of Kraft Foods.
Milk creamer T DISCs are made with milk and then treated at a very high temperature, so they are shelf-stable and do not require refrigeration.
The packages for latte, cappuccino and macchiato contain individual milk creamer and espresso T DISCs. For best results, first brew a T DISC of the milk creamer, then follow with a T DISC of espresso.
No. The TASSIMO machine is the only brewer that uses INTELLIBREW™ and can only read specific instructions from the T DISC barcode.
TASSIMO is more than a coffee maker and an espresso machine. It is a Home Brewing System that can prepare a variety of drinks, including espresso, at the touch of a button.
The large majority of hot beverages, including a traditional cup of coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and frothy hot milk creamers are not brewed using high pressure. TASSIMO uses patented technology in the T DISC coupled with an intelligent barcode reader to deliver a broad range of beverages. The TASSIMO technology uses a variable lower pressure pump to deliver the high quality drinks our consumers expect. This approach allows TASSIMO the flexibility to deliver a wide variety of excellent hot beverages from one system.
Yes. Simply select your cup, insert your T DISC of choice into the machine and press the button.
TASSIMO brewers have an adjustable cup stand, so you can use your favorite mug or cup to prepare the beverage of your choice.
Yes. Brewing occurs inside the T DISC and flows directly into your cup. You can produce different drinks, one after the other, without impacting beverage quality of taste. This makes TASSIMO perfect for entertaining or families. Each person can select and enjoy the beverage of their choice.
Each beverage varies by drink size, temperature and flow rate of water. Most are ready in about 60 seconds.
Yes. There is a steam purge at the end of the brew cycle to empty the disc. You will hear the water start to boil, and then the hiss of the steam pressure will come out of the piercer as your beverage is dispensed. There may also be a slight noise when you open the brewer at the end of the brew cycle, which the release of any residual pressure from the disc.
CAUTION: To avoid risk of scalding, DO NOT OPEN YOUR BREWER UNTIL THE SOLID ORANGE LIGHT DISPLAYS. Use care when removing T DISCs.
No. Each T DISC is designed to prepare a perfect cup and cannot be reused. The T DISC should be removed from the brewer and discarded shortly after the brewing is complete.
CAUTION: To avoid risk of scalding, DO NOT OPEN YOUR BREWER UNTIL THE SOLID ORANGE LIGHT DISPLAYS. Use care when removing T DISCs.
Used T DISCs are suitable for energy recovery through incineration. Kraft is continuously working to reduce the environmental impact of its products, including TASSIMO products.
TASSIMO brewers require very little maintenance although it is recommended to insert the reusable cleaning disc in the machine every seven days. The barcode reader should be cleaned with a damp soft cloth. All of the removable parts are hand washable and all, except the water container, are dishwasher safe.
The TASSIMO Home Brewing System has the quality stamp of Bosch. If you have problems, please call Customer Service at 1-877-TDISCS1 (1-877-834-7271) for troubleshooting or replacement of your brewer, if necessary.
