Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 86 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Tassimo T55 - What a Joy So pleased that I upgraded, while I have the money. The T25, (35 whatever one I upgraded from), still works but this was worth upgrading to. So much easier to clean and easy to use. I am over the moon with it! January 10, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Design Flaws! We purchased this machine because I like "crema" coffee and our Kurig was unable to produce the foam. Other than that difference, the Kurig was superior in design. The Tassimo T55 has a water tank in the back. This means it is necessary to slide the machine out from against the wall, knocking over things on either side, to fill it. Further, the tank "tilts" its way out rather than simply sliding out or lifting. This feature ensures that you must take the tank completely out and fill it under a tap - rather than keeping a bottle of water handy and simply taking off the lid of the tank and pouring. Additionally, the water tank only tells you when it is empty, NOT when there is not enough water to complete a brewing cycle. So - because the tank is in the back and you can't see it, you begin to brew a cup only to have the tank light come on halfway thru to tell you there is not enough water to complete the brewing cycle. There goes another expensive pod! The manner in which you chose the strength of your beverage has been designed by engineers with nice, short fingernails. Ladies with longer ones will have to practice a few times and take good care when trying to select a stronger brew - the button allowing you to engage this feature is very slim indeed. And finally, the lid used to engage the brewing mechanism is made of plastic with a high-gloss chrome finish.... and needs to be buffed every single time it is used because it keeps fingerprints like nothing else I have ever seen. So- lots to think about as you stumble out first thing in the morning to make your cup of coffee... which, I do honestly say, is very good. It is just that the machine is rather fiddley. Before you buy it I would do a lot of comparison shopping... most of my concerns are things you wouldn't really think about until you take the Tassimo T55 home and begin to use it. January 7, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by small water reservoir The reservoir is small, and the Carte Noir t-disks consistently produce less coffee than advertised with this machine. This adds up over several cups of coffee. January 5, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Renewed The first device would not brew and I attempted to use a couple of T PODS and discovered that the device was malfunctioning. I was able to swap the device out for another one and I am happy to report I was able to make my first cup of Earl Grey. I actually enjoy the option to make my cup of tea strong or weak. I can't wait to try the Hot chocolate. January 2, 2014
