We initally got a Tassimo machine because of the 'big name brand' coffee discs. I was very depressed when they left, and I was very, very leery when I read that Tassimo's plans to replace them was to have Gevalia make some new choices. I was really hoping for one of the other Great Northwest coffee producers to step in and usurp their competitor's position. I had tried the other Gevalia options here and I was never excited. As a kid, my mom had the Gevalia deliverly service for a short time, but she was never excited about it either. However, I am now a convert! This is really quite good and has a deep, dark, rich flavor. It comes in the 'double size' T-discs - just like the 'big name brand' coffee company did. It is an exceptionally good replacement. Bravo, Gevalia. Highly recommended. This has inspired me to try all the new Gevalia discs, and so far they have been great.

This is the perfect cup of coffee. It is all I need. Strong and delicious. Far superior to the Carte Noire Voluptuoso Corse. Very happy with this product! Highly recommended.

Just tried this Italian Roast against the Dark House Blend. Trying to find some coffee to make up for tragic loss of S*******
coffees, and to refrain from throwing out this unit for competitor. And yes, Gevalia has come up with a coffee that does now compete against the loss of the other company, and favorably so. I am now going to keep the Tassimo unit, and purchase this Italian Roast exclusively. It seems to have just more flavor than the Dark house blend, and doesn't taste burnt or overly strong. It works. I recommend it as replacement of my previous S********* Columbian blend. It is less expensive, but equally competes in flavor, intensity, and taste.

Rated 5 out of 5 by sg1062 Terrific choice.......
Gevalia did a real nice job with the new t-disc blends. The Dark Italian and the Dark House blend make me miss the Starbucks discs less and less! In addition, they are EVERYWHERE to be found, which is a far cry from prior Tassimo marketing plans.
I do notice that the new discs have TWO bar codes, to accomodate the new Tassimo Pro machine, which for some reason has the code reader in a different location than the home models. If you havent seen it, it looks like an AWESOME machine that I would love for my house, but Kraft/Bosch/Tassimo has again blown a revenue opportunity by making the machine available ONLY for businesses.
Anyway, I'm happy with the new Gevalias..............
