Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 99 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by The brewer looks and functions great I am very pleased with my new T 55 brewer. The color and design look great. It will compliment any kitchen décor. It brews the perfect cup of coffee, latte and cappuccino. January 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Updated and upgraded I had an original Braun Tassimo and loved it. I decided to update to a new model. The first T55 I received only made noise and did not brew. After a quick return and replacement, my new T55 works great and is quieter than my old machine. It brews quickly and the beverages are wonderfully hot and yummy! I really like the look of this model too. I'm a real fan of Tassimo! January 6, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Many more quirks than the older Tassimos. This machine holds less water than the older Tassimo I had. This machine has constantly required adjustments to the disk holder, has leaked now and then from the disk holder. The disk holder is much less sure and effective than the old Tassimos. Now after about a year, the start switch has gone out. Tassimo is a great system, I just don't know why they can't make an extremely durable machine, that you can plumb in for home use, you know a $350 super duty machine. January 1, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by good the t55 is a good machine and easy to use, the only thing I don't like is you have to remove the reservoir to fill with water! My old machine I used for 10 years I could fill without removing, Guess I just got spoiled. December 21, 2014

Answer:
I have had three t55. I have cleaned every ounce of the machine including the bar reader and I get a 1/3 of the cup of coffee and then the machine locks up for over 30 min. It is a design flaw and it happens with all different types of coffee. I wish the would go back to the old machines that work.

I have encountered this issue when latte milk has dripped on top of the bar code reader. I just wipe across the bar code reader with a soft damp cloth or paper towel.

Answer:
Check the T-Disk for bar code placement...unless it's directly behind the tab on the T-Disk itself, it cannot be used in this machine....and you need to contact Tassimo for a suitable replacement.

Answer:
Try gently rubbing your thumb nail accross the bar code on the top of the t disc.....after the first occurrence of this apparent malfunction on my T55 (symptoms as described previously) this alleviated the problem. It appears that any undulation in the bar code area may yield it unreadable! To date, I have had only 3 such occurrences and this technique has resolved all successfully.

Hi, I just purchased the T55 at BB&B yesterday (12/21). The $20 difference in Maryland was due to the brewer being on sale. Ended up paying $127 with sale and 20% off coupon.

Answer:
I think the only difference is the LCD panel. I spoke with Tassimo last week, and they told me that the T65 was being discontinued, so I went ahead and bought the T55 at Bed Bath and Beyond. I love it so much, I bought another one for work. And this is coming from someone who has been using k-cups for the last 2 years. You will love the T55. The filter is pretty cool too.

Hi, correction to my answer. Just opened our T55 and it DOES have a water filter (yay!). It doesn't have the LCD or cup light like the T65. Not sure on any other differences.

Answer:
I have the original Tassimo machine made by Braun and it is still going strong. The coffee sizes are pre-determined by the barcodes on the actual T-discs; however, you can add additional beverage by pressing and holding the center button (at least that's how it works on my machine). I assume the newer Bosch machines work similarly, but Tassimo will have to confirm.

The amount of coffee that is made varies per selection. The bar code will let the brewer know who much each selection makes.

Answer:
Because Tassimo brewers use an immediate heat feature, it can be convenient to use them to produce a quick cup of hot water (i.e. for bagged tea, hot cocoa, instant oatmeal, etc). I do this by using the cleaning disc in place of a standard T-Disc.
Two points to keep in mind:

1. Be prepared to press the stop button in order to stop the flow of water at the desired level. The barcode on the cleaning disc tells the Tassimo brewer to produce much more water than would be accommodated by a typical coffee cup.

2. Keep in mind that the purpose of the cleaning disc is to flush contaminants from the Tassimo brewer. Therefore, after inserting the cleaning disc, you will want to run a small amount of water (i.e. fill the cup 1/2 full) and discard this water before filling the cup for use. In addition to flushing the system clear, this also serves to pre-warm your coffee cup.
