Tassimo really dropped the ball on this one.
I was a happy owner of a T65 and recently received a T55 as a replacement due to a minor issue I had with my T65. I am not a coffee "snob" by any stretch but there were a few things I noticed right away.
No cup light
The removal cup stand was a lot tougher to remove
The water tank was smaller and was tougher to remove
No LCD screen
I really feel that the T55 has been a step down from the T65. It's unfortunate because I like the style of the T55, but the functionality and things I mentioned were disappointing that they were removed.
All in all, I ended up returning my T55 and keeping my T65. I'll take my chances on it having any issues again rather than keeping the T55.

Superior to Keurig
We bought the Keurig coffee maker, and found the taste to be watery. We returned it to try the Tassimo - a great choice! The Tassimo brews different types of coffee/late/mocha/expresso perfectly. Would highly recommend the Tassimo for coffee lovers

Love my t45
I have had this machine for almost three years and I love it. It works well and most of the coffees are great. I wish more stores carried the coffee. I think the only way it could be better if they could come up with a way to use real creme instead of the disc with the expressos. The service department is very good as well. What happen to T65. I wanted to upgrade but have only heard disappointment with the T 55?

coffe shop beverages at a fraction of the cost
I treated myself to a Tassimo because I love mochas, lattes, and cappucinos. What I thought was a splurge has become money well-spent. I am enjoying coffe shop beverages at a fraction of the cost and in the comfort and convenience of my home. We have shop equipment manufactured by Bosch so I have confidence in the brand. My only suggestion would be to make the water reservoir refillable without removing it from the machine.

I HAVE A NEW T55 BREWER.
WHEN WE PUT IN CERTAIN DISCS
CHAI TEA , EARL GREY TEA THE BREWER GOES RED AND DOES NOT WORK IT HAS ALSO DONE IT ONCE ON T.IM HORTONS COFFEE.
ALL THE DISCS HAVE BEEN RECENTLY PURCHASED.
ANY SOLUTIONS.
I HAVE REPROGRAMMED THE MACHINE TO TRY TO FIX THIS PROBLEM.

I have had three t55. I have cleaned every ounce of the machine including the bar reader and I get a 1/3 of the cup of coffee and then the machine locks up for over 30 min. It is a design flaw and it happens with all different types of coffee. I wish the would go back to the old machines that work.Age: 35-44

I have encountered this issue when latte milk has dripped on top of the bar code reader. I just wipe across the bar code reader with a soft damp cloth or paper towel.Age: 55-65

Check the T-Disk for bar code placement...unless it's directly behind the tab on the T-Disk itself, it cannot be used in this machine....and you need to contact Tassimo for a suitable replacement.Age: 45-54

Try gently rubbing your thumb nail accross the bar code on the top of the t disc.....after the first occurrence of this apparent malfunction on my T55 (symptoms as described previously) this alleviated the problem. It appears that any undulation in the bar code area may yield it unreadable! To date, I have had only 3 such occurrences and this technique has resolved all successfully.3 months, 1 week ago

I think the only difference is the LCD panel. I spoke with Tassimo last week, and they told me that the T65 was being discontinued, so I went ahead and bought the T55 at Bed Bath and Beyond. I love it so much, I bought another one for work. And this is coming from someone who has been using k-cups for the last 2 years. You will love the T55. I have the original Tassimo machine made by Braun and it is still going strong. The coffee sizes are pre-determined by the barcodes on the actual T-discs; however, you can add additional beverage by pressing and holding the center button (at least that's how it works on my machine). I assume the newer Bosch machines work similarly, but Tassimo will have to confirm.Age: 45-54
