About the TASSIMO System

HOW DO YOU BREW THE PERFECT CUP EVERY TIME?

TASSIMO Knows.

The TASSIMO Single Cup Brewing System by Bosch uses INTELLIBREWTM to make sure every coffee, tea, cappuccino, latte, mocha, espresso, or hot chocolate taste exactly the way they are supposed to. Every single time.

This Intelligent Barcode Technology measures the right amount of water, the right brewing time and the right temperature to make every beverage you brew, whether it is coffee, tea, or specialty drinks consistent and perfect with each touch of a button.

compare to keurig >

You see, each T DISC pod has a barcode that contains special instructions for every beverage. TASSIMO is the only single cup brewer with INTELLIBREWTM to read these instructions and make your beverages exactly how they are meant to be.

And you can even manually control the strength of your drink with the press of a button. Brewed to perfection and brewed just the way you like it.

It’s the smarter way to brew. You’ll wonder why you haven’t switched from a regular coffee maker to a TASSIMO sooner!

Rated 1 out of 5 by This product is poor quality and doesn't last! I do not recommend this product as it is poor quality and doesn't last!!!! I was excited when I purchased the Tassimo coffee maker in March 2013 only to have to return it because it didn't heat the coffee. I received a replacement coffee maker, also which has to be returned within a few days because it too didn't heat the coffee. I again received a replacement.....this 3rd Tassimo Coffee Maker I have had for 15 months and now this too does not work. This coffee maker was only used on the weekends a total of 120 times as a special coffee treat. I am thoroughly disappointed in this coffee maker and thought Bosch represented quality products. Rated 5 out of 5 by This is a great machine ! I received this coffee maker from a friend & its about a year old already, but the performance on it is as good as NEW. My husband and I are enjoying it so much because now we don't have to waste coffee when we only want 1cup. I would recommend this product to anyone who drinks coffee and sometimes don't need to make a full pot just to get 1cup & have to pour the extra down the drain! this more than pays for itself in the long run. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product I bought this product two days ago and I'm really happy. I buy my T-DISKS from the supermarket. It's really easy, with a click of a button you get a nice drink. My family and I love this product. November 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by fantastic features This is my first single cup brewer and don't know now why I haven't had one all of my life. This is the most convenient brewer I have ever owned. I love having the versatility of any kind of coffee house brew I want almost instantly. I also love that I can have hot chocolate, latte, tea etc and it is soooo easy to use. There is virtually no cleanup other than I wipe mine down with a damp paper towel after each use. I use bottled water so I really don't need the filter. I just think it is the perfect kitchen toy. I have the old model Braun and now it's time for a new one. Debating between premium model and this one the only difference I see is the premium model says it is silent. I don't know how loud the Bosch models are but the Braun is pretty loud.

I have never heard the non-premium model, but my premium one is far from silent. It does not make a great deal of noise, but it is much louder than a traditional drip coffee maker. If you want, I will sell you my premium brewer VERY cheap.

Answer:
While our Bosch Home Brewing Systems do have a characteristic noise, our Premium and Suprema models are designed with noise suppression so that you can have a peaceful brewing experience.

The Suprema Home Brewing System may initially make noise which will be reduced after subsequent usage.

My Bosch model is not "silent," but the noise, in my opinion, is minimal. The brewing time is quick, so what noise there is does not last long. I have not found the noise to be an irritant.

I had the Braun and replaced it with the Bosch, and the new machine is vastly superior. It is quieter and makes the coffee hotter and does not have the run off to deal with. A much better unit in my opinion.

Answer:
The Tassimo I have isn't completely silent, but it isn't too loud. The grinder on my regular coffee brewer is much louder than this. I have never woken the wife while brewing even when I leave at 5:30. I don't think the noise should really factor in to your decision on Tassimo, you won't notice it that much.

Not much more noise than a standard coffee maker. Unless the disc explodes, which apparently happens frequently enough that it is mentioned many times online. I would recommend the next higher up model - I have just orderd one and am taking this unit back to the store (for the 2nd time in a month).

Answer:
I've brewed espresso drinks and cocoa; they each finish with different temperatures. Cappuccino is the hottest so far; latte is hot (much hotter than my local coffee shop), and the cocoa is more warm than hot. I know that the coffee brews at a different temperature as well. Maybe you have a faulty unit?

Answer:
Actually, if you are wanting to fill a large commuter-style mug that's over 16 oz. (most of them are), consider using more than one brewing cycle. That is, use a second T-disc. You would have to use more coffee grounds with any brewing system to get a good bigger cup of coffee, after all. I can highly recommend the Gevalia Morning Roast, which gives you 16 oz of very good coffee per disc. Just remember, these systems are designed to deliver a cup on demand of fresh, hot coffee. The point is to keep you from needing a bigger cup sitting around, getting cold or stale. Enjoy!!

Answer:
When you say "large," how large are you talking about?

If you want a cup of coffee that will fill a 16 oz commuter cup, the Maxwell House coffees do it automatically... to the brim. However, if you are talking about a huge 24 oz or larger, press and hold the brew button when it lights up under the coffee + side. It does add more water, but remember that your T disc is still in the machine, so it isn't plain, clear water. You have to gauge when you are done... don't hold it too long, or you'll overflow your cup.

Hope that helps!

Product Use & Care

Everything you need to know to keep your system brewing better and longer.

GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR BREWER

  1. Keep it clean. Using a soft, damp cloth, wipe down the outside of your machine and clean the barcode scanner regularly, so your brewer can scan the bar codes on your T DISCs properly.
  2. Rinse the water tank and filter cartridge holder - by hand, with water only.
  3. Clean the brewing unit regularly. Run the cleaning process with the Service T DISC that comes with your machine. This is especially important if your brewer hasn't been used for a while. Never use scouring agents or steam cleaners.
  4. Here's what's dishwasher-safe: the T DISC holder, piercing unit, drink outlet, plus all parts of the cup stand can be removed and cleaned in the dishwasher. (When preparing a lot of drinks, one after the other, you can clean the piercing unit quickly and easily under running water.)
  5. Not dishwasher-safe: Wash the water tank and lid, the filter cartridge holder and Service T DISC by hand.

DESCALING

Your brewer comes with a convenient, automatic descaling program. If the Descale icon lights up while your machine is on, run the descaling program immediately - otherwise the brewer may not function properly. If your machine has a water filter, be sure to remove the filter holder with the filter cartridge before running the program.
