How to Make It
  1. Place a (3 fl oz) mug on the stand for a regular espresso.
  2. Insert the Gevalia® Espresso T DISC into the brewer; when the green Auto light comes on, press the button to start your coffee.
  3. Allow your mug to fill, and take a sip of this delightful espresso.

About the TASSIMO System

ENJOY GLOBAL VARIETY. The TASSIMO Home Brewing System by Bosch makes one perfect cup at a time with the ease of T DISC technology. T DISCs are filled with fresh coffee or espresso grounds, tea leaves or milk creamer (which the system froths for the perfect cappuccino or latte). Slip in your favorite T DISC and in just about a minute, your brewer makes coffee (iced or hot), tea, cappuccino, latte, crema, mocha, espresso or hot chocolate just to your liking.

ASK FOR THE BARCODE. Each T DISC uses a special barcode that tells your brewer exactly what to do: the size of the drink, the amount of water required, its optimal temperature, and how long to brew it. It's like the know-how of a seasoned barista right at home. All the brewing happens inside the T DISC, keeping the machine clean and ready to use. You can also manually control the strength of your drink with the press of a button.

Better Than Some The cream didn't taste as sour as it usually does for the hot chocolate, the Tassimo Caramel Latte and the Tassimo Vanilla Latte. I thought it had a better taste than those two, but still not as good as a cup of cappuccino in a nice Italian restaurant. As these Tassimo coffees go, I thought this was better than others I've tried. I made mine using one of the creams and about a tablespoon of sugar. My husband thought it was instant coffee. I wasn't sure either. But I've had a Starbuck's instant coffee that tasted better than this. May 27, 2013
Product not producing as much as it says Am I doing something wrong, because the description says makes 3 fl oz of espresso and I am only getting 1 out of it. I hate having to use 2-3 t-discs to get a normal sized cup. January 14, 2013

Not that great Doesn't compare to the Carte Noire Ristretto. Somewhat bitter with a not so great flavor. I got this in the Cappuccino set, finding I had to use 2 per cap because it just wasn't strong enough. Since I started using the CN instead, I decided to try the last one of these straight - wish I didn't. Sorry, can't recommend this one when there are other great options. October 11, 2012

Cappucino is actually espresso and milk. So you can buy espresso decaf and milk disks and you make your own decaf cappuccino. Firs you run andecas espresso then a milk disk and you have it.

Answer: 
One technique which I have devised: Heat 2-4 oz of skim milk in the microwave (in your mug or coffee cup) Then use a decaf espresso T-disc to deliver the coffee into the heated skim milk and follow with additional hot water, adding a couple of oz or more. The result is a frothy thick crema and an excellent latte.

What cup size?

Product details and related customer reviews do not identify the amount of coffee each disc brews. This information is programmed into the T Disc barcode, so it should be the same for each cup brewed from individual brands. Prospective customers may need this information to make proper ordering selections, so PLEASE ADD CUP SIZE (ounces of coffee brewed) FOR EACH BRAND.

Why is it that the Gevalia Espresso only delivers 1 ounce (I measured), when the product claims to make 3 fl oz of espresso?

The T-disk is always full of water when the brewing is done.

Is this a brewer issue (yes, I cleaned the thing thoroughly, especially where the upc code is read) or a T-disc code issue?

Gevalia Espresso hasn't been available online nor has it been available in store at Bed Bath and Beyond. I've been purchasing this for a few years and just ran upon this issue. Please advise as this is the only product I use for my Tassimo.
