  • This package includes 16 T DISCS of decaffeinated Gevalia Espresso, which you can use alone or with the separately sold milk creamer T DISCS
  • Makes an 3 fl oz cup of espresso
How to Make It
  1. Place a (3 fl oz) mug on the stand for a regular decaf espresso.
  2. Insert the Gevalia® Decaffeinated Espresso T DISC into the brewer; when the green Auto light comes on, press the button to start your coffee.
  3. Allow your mug to fill, and take a sip of this lovely coffee.

About the TASSIMO System

ENJOY GLOBAL VARIETY. The TASSIMO Home Brewing System by Bosch makes one perfect cup at a time with the ease of T DISC technology. T DISCs are filled with fresh coffee or espresso grounds, tea leaves or milk creamer (which the system froths for the perfect cappuccino or latte). Slip in your favorite T DISC and in just about a minute, your brewer makes coffee (iced or hot), tea, cappuccino, latte, crema, mocha, espresso or hot chocolate just to your liking.

ASK FOR THE BARCODE. Each T DISC uses a special barcode that tells your brewer exactly what to do: the size of the drink, the amount of water required, its optimal temperature, and how long to brew it. It's like the know-how of a seasoned barista right at home. All the brewing happens inside the T DISC, keeping the machine clean and ready to use. You can also manually control the strength of your drink with the press of a button.

Good strong coffee I use this to make Americanos with the Mastro Lorenzo espresso (2 decaf, 1 reg) as Tassimo has very limited decaf options. I actually prefer this to any coffee shop because it's CONSISTENT! Makes a great cup every time and does not come out bitter. The combo of these 2 are great. June 30, 2012
My favorite! Highly recommend the Decaf, Cappuccino. The Hag Crema decaf is good, enjoy the creamy top. Altho it's not decaf, really like the Jacobs Latte Macchiato. Prefer the Suchard hot chocolate over the Milka one. June 10, 2012

Answer: 
You need to learn what your machine can do. When your Tassimo goes to the second green light you have the option of pushing and holding the button to add more water. This is how you make an Americano.
Also if you are brewing a regular cup of coffee and you want it stronger, all you do is press the button while it is brewing (on the 1st. green light at the top) and it will stop adding the water. Enjoy!

Most of the package are 16 discs per package, except for Suchard Hot Chocolate and the creamers they contain 8 T Discs per package.

I have been unable to get both the expresso and expresso decaf for around 3 months now. Will i have to resort to buying a new machine from a different manufacturer to serve expresso at my dinner parties in the future?

Hello Addy,

The Natural Carbonation Process (Supercritical Carbon Dioxide)

Gevalia uses the supercritical carbon dioxide decaffeination process. Green coffee beans are exposed to carbon dioxide at high pressure and an elevated temperature for a determined period of time to remove most of the coffee’s caffeine. The pressure is then reduced and the coffee (decaffeinated green coffee) is ready for further processing -- roasting and grinding. There are no additional chemicals used

Decaffeinated coffees contain no more than 0.1% caffeine in the finished coffee, which results in a consumer intake of 2-3 mg of caffeine per 6 oz. serving
