About the TASSIMO System

T DISCs are filled with fresh coffee or espresso grounds, tea leaves or milk creamer (which the system froths for the perfect cappuccino or latte). disappointing
I really did not like this coffee. For whatever reason the taste of this coffee made me think of coffee grounds. It was a disappointing flavor.

As good as it gets for a Breakfast Brew
The perfect breakfast coffee for those who like a medium roast. Very smooth but with a lot of taste and aroma. I like different coffees and roasts for different times, but for breakfast you can't touch this Columbian!

Weak Coffee not because of the T-Disc
This is one of the weakest flavors I have ever had. I disagree with other reviewers that it is because of the amount of coffee in the T-Disc. I enjoy Nabob Colombian daily and it makes an outstanding cup of coffee from the same sized T-Disc. It's all about the QUALITY of coffee within the T-Disc combined with the TASTE of the water you brew it with.
That being said Gevalia Colombia seems poor quality which translates to a weak, fair tasting cup of coffee. The aroma also leaves much to be desired. I recommend going with another brand if you love Colombian blends like me!

I can't tell which ones are for larger cups and which ones are not.

It would be very helpful if you put this yield information on all descriptions. I like to just get online and click on what I need and be done with it instead of having to look up to see if this is the package that has the larger cups or smaller cups.

The information is listed under "Details", which is buried at the bottom of the page. I find the serving size a little misleading though. When they say 11oz, for example, they are recommending a large cup that can hold 11oz. But it does not actually brew 11oz -- I have measured many of the 11oz brews in a measuring cup and they usually brew around 8.5 fl oz.Age: 25-34

If you look in the description under "details" you will see how many ounces each T-disk brews. Colombian for instance brews 11 oz. cup. This size allows for a bit of cream in a standard sized mug.The largest that I have found is the Morning Blends, Gevalia and Maxwell House, these brew 16 oz, even though the website hasn't been updated with the new cup sizes, the packaging has (if you choose 16 oz. cup size at the left in the selector, these show up, the packaging in the stores reflects this new size).

There is no empty T-Disc that would allow you to brew your own coffee. Because Tassimo uses the barcode on the label for brewing instructions, it would be almost impossible to create an empty cartridge you could fill at home since you would need to generate that barcode for brewing instructions.Single-serve coffee systems are designed to use the pre-packaged coffee module/capsule for the system. A refillable module/capsule is available for a competing single-serve brewing system, but they work poorly. Anyone who has tried it will agree it is a poor solution.
