My brewer is only 3 months old.I had to descale it using the powder provided in this website.It took me a long time to clean and rinse the tank,but the descale light is still on.I just called customer service and they told me to brew a cup of coffee to check if the unit is still working.The coffee is ok,but I don't think the light should stay on.How am I going to find out when I need to descale it again?Did this problem happen to anyone else??

When you have inserted the plastic cleaning disc and added the cleaning solution to the tank, be sure to PUSH AND HOLD the brewing button in for several seconds until the unit starts the cleaning cycle before releasing the button. If you just push and release the button, it will not begin the 20 min. cleaning cycle. It will just brew one cup of hot water and the red light will remain on. The light goes off only after going through the entire 20 min cleaning cycle and all the cleaning solution. Also monitor the liquid level in the container you use to catch cleaning solution. The cleaning solution packet makes one quart of fluid, so you will probably have to empty your container midway through the cycle.

Did you try turning if off for 10 minutes? Also check the hole at the bottom of where the water tank sits on the machine. Maske sure that it is clear and has no debris. Also you can wash or clean some of the removable parts.

All the lights come on when ever I try to make coffee. This unit was bought new and has been stored since purchased two years ago. Making hot water works just fine.

Try gently cleaning the bar code reader with a soft damp cloth then gently dry with a soft cloth. I had the same issue when I first bought my T55. I finagled with it for a bit then I tried the cloth trick. Viola' it worked! Good luck I love mine
