How to Make It
  1. Place your mug (6 fl oz) on the cup stand.
  2. Insert the Carte Noire Kenya Coffee T DISC into the brewer; when the green Auto light comes on, press the button.
  3. Allow the mug to fill, and take a sip of this sumptuous coffee.

About the TASSIMO System

ENJOY GLOBAL VARIETY. The TASSIMO Home Brewing System by Bosch makes one perfect cup at a time with the ease of T DISC technology. T DISCs are filled with fresh coffee or espresso grounds, tea leaves or milk creamer (which the system froths for the perfect cappuccino or latte). Slip in your favorite T DISC and in just about a minute, your brewer makes coffee (iced or hot), tea, cappuccino, latte, crema, mocha, espresso or hot chocolate just to your liking.

ASK FOR THE BARCODE. Each T DISC uses a special barcode that tells your brewer exactly what to do: the size of the drink, the amount of water required, its optimal temperature, and how long to brew it. It's like the know-how of a seasoned barista right at home. All the brewing happens inside the T DISC, keeping the machine clean and ready to use. You can also manually control the strength of your drink with the press of a button.

The best coffee in the world!!! This is the best coffee in the world! Kenya AA is always ranked in the top 2 or 3 by coffee experts, closely in contention with Tarazzu, and this T-disc captures "why". Unless you can fund Tschibo African Bue (they don't make a T-disk and as far as I know it is only widely distributed in Germany) this is the best choice you will find. Smooth, nutty, bold, and everything about it says Kenyan. You would never know it is from a T-disc, it tasted and smells like the freshly-ground real deal. Unsurpassable!!!!!!!!!!!!! July 16, 2012

This is a good crema.... I like this just fine but the Kenya is a very short crema, I get about 3 oz so two of these fills my small cup. It probably should be in the crema section and not the coffee section. March 13, 2012
Mmmmmmmmmm... I have been trying various brands after going completely gaga over all the great Gevalia brands available when I first purchased my Tassimo. I am looking for replacements/variations for my morning blend, cappucino etc... Just seeing what other great stuff Tassimo has available... I found this on sale and I loved the description of its fruity taste & the Carte Noir reputation,so I decided to try it. I am so glad I did. I love it. I find it even better with just a bit of the latte disc added. (I brew the creamer directly into my small stainless pitcher left over from my old hit & miss Espresso/Capuccino machine . Delicioso! Give it a try if you are looking for a small strong cup of sweet goodness that tastes oh-so European.. I dont drink any coffee black but it was tolerable without cream as well as it has a thin little crema layer that I really enjoy as is as well. ;) February 26, 2012

Since it seems Gevalia and Maxwell house both stopped offering the "Morning Blend" with a full 12oz serving, I have been experimenting by using the barcode cut from a used Gevalia Morning Blend with other stronger coffees. I simply lay the barcode over the reader before putting my t-disc in the machine. It works great and is much different than simply holding the button to add more water afterward, as that waters down the coffee. My method lets the water run through the coffee slower, not to mention you don't need to stay there and hold the button.

The following are the recommended cup size for all Tassimo Coffees sold in the United States.

Espressos recommend a 3 oz cup.
Gevalia Morning Roast, Gevalia Black Iced Coffee, Gevalia Sweet & Creamy Iced Coffee, Maxwell House Morning Blend, and Nabob Breakfast recommend a 16 oz cup.
All other Tassimo Coffees or Teas recommend a 12 oz cup.

For cappuccino, you need the large mugs. Haven't found another that fills a large mug. We even run the espresso through twice sometimes, for more.

I have stomach issues but have to admit..I have not had any issues with any of the blends I have tried so far...not a one...Not sure why this is but I am ecstatic.

okay..maybe a bit of trouble because I am drinking far too many cups now, due to this fact..But , I am totally enjoying my love of coffee again and it is great.

Carte Noir Kenyan is easy on the stomach, it makes a strong Cuban style product. Somewhere between an American and expresso. Best without cream, sugar only.

Try the Maxwell House French Roast. It offers full flavor and should be easy on the stomach.

The only reason I bought this machine was because of the Starbucks coffee. Without it , this machine is rendered useless for me . None of the lame coffees you offer are bold enough. I will be leaving my Tassimo machine out on the curb next June for the next "junk" pick-up.
